Job summary

You will perform processing roles when the operator is absent, including Se partition, RO Milk, Membrane, Pre Batching, UHT and CIP. Responsibilities include safe operation of processing equipment, maintaining GMP-compliant practices, taking QA

Qualifications

  • Must follow safety procedures and PPE usage.
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor process issues and know when to escalate.
  • Willingness to ask for assistance when the process is unclear.
  • Basic math and measurement skills are required.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Tetra Aldose, Alsafe and UHT pasteurization equipment in a safe, sanitary manner per GMPs.
  • Perform start-up and shut-down procedures and CIP/COP cleaning.
  • Take product samples for QA testing and monitor CIP system strengths.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and train team members as needed.
  • Follow scheduling and shift requirements as part of rotating night shifts.

12 Hour Nights: This is a night shift position , with hours from 6:0PM to 6:0 AM . The role follows a rotating 2-2-3 schedule: two days on, two days off, three days on, followed by two days off, two days on, and three days off. Team members will work every other weekend , including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

job purpose :

Able and available to perform all processing positions in the absence of the operator who normally performs the job. This includes Separation Operator, RO Milk Operator, Membrane Operator, Pre Batching Operator, UHT Operator and CIP Operator.

responsibilities:
  • Operate Tetra Aldose, Alsafe and UHT (Ultra-high-temperature) pasteurization equipment in the processing area in a safe and sanitary manner following all GMP's. This includes monitoring and maintaining process controls of heat exchangers process variables and documenting accurate recordings of process parameters while in operation. Cleaning the processing equipment which includes hand cleaning parts, clean-in-place (CIP) and clean out of place (COP) operations on a daily basis. Perform any other duties assigned by management.
  • Know proper established start up and shut down procedures.
  • CIP of Silos, and line circuits.
  • Take proper samples of products for QA testing.
  • Take proper samples to monitor CIP system for chemical strengths.
  • Service pumps, valves and heat exchangers as needed and/or per preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Develop and train team members.
skills/qualifications required:
  • Must work in a safe, efficient manner and follow all safety procedures including the use of safety equipment.
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot small problems, and be able to discern when issues may require input from levels of authority within the corporation.
  • Must be willing to ask for assistance when the process is unclear.
  • A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
  • High School level verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computational skills required. Simple math reasoning required.
  • Must be able to operate the equipment effectively after the appropriate break-in period.
working conditions and physical requirements:
  • 15,000 steps minimum
  • 26 stairs (one way up or down) 52 (round trip) total every hour minimum for a total of 312 one way per shift and 624 round trip
  • Lifting up to 50+ pounds (no more than 80)
  • Climbing ladders up to 15 ft
  • Standing up to 1 hour straight
  • Continuous physical activity for up to 1 hour straight
  • Sitting/Standing/Walking/Lifting/Carrying: The operator stands throughout their shift and walks on uneven concrete and tile surfaces. The operator lifts up to 60 pounds on an occasional basis. Two or more employees complete lifts of greater than 100 pounds.
  • Pushing/Pulling/Bending/Stooping: The operator occasionally pushes/pulls a variety of objects which may include empty pallets, and brooms during cleanup activities. The operator will push/pull pipe-fittings during hook up. The operator bends and stoops occasionally throughout the workday, when servicing equipment, picking supplies or waste product off the floor.
  • Squatting/Kneeling/Crawling/Twisting/Turning: The operator may squat when picking up supplies and during cleanup duties, including kneeling on the floor and crawling under equipment. Occasional twisting and turning at the waist while changing dryer lances, or making CIP connections.
  • Climbing/Balancing/Reaching: The operator occasionally climbs approved stairs or ladders. The operator reaches below shoulder level to pick up pipe-fittings from the floor or while servicing product pumps and related equipment. The operator may reach at or above shoulder level when making eq
