Job summary

Jushi Holdings Inc. is seeking a Processing Lead to guide the Processing department in trimming flower and packaging cannabis-based medicines in our Toledo-area facility.

You will supervise mechanical and manual bucking, weigh and label biomass, maintain equipment, and ensure traceability and safety compliance in a fast-paced production environment. This role requires hands-on leadership and strong communication to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience in horticulture or related field.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in horticulture preferred.
• Strong computer skills and ability to perform data entry.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and hand bucking of cannabis biomass.
• Weigh and label biomass on racks and storage bins.
• Perform drying and curing duties as directed.
• Trim cannabis flower by hand and mechanically.
• Package cannabis flower by weight and assemble packaging.
• Print and apply labels to finished products.

The Processing Lead guides the Processing department in the trimming of flower and primary and secondary packaging of cannabis-based medicines.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and hand bucking of cannabis biomass
• Accurate weighing and labeling of biomass on racks and storage bins
• Perform drying and curing duties as directed
• Perform mechanical and hand trimming of cannabis flower
• Perform mechanical and hand packaging of cannabis flower
• Package cannabis flower by weight
• Assemble primary, secondary, or tertiary packaging for all cannabis products
• Perform primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging of cannabis products
• Print and apply labels to finished packaged product
• Responsible for light to medium maintenance of automated equipment including cleaning and preventative maintenance
• Operate, maintain, and clean processing, packaging, and labeling equipment
• Data entry and record-keeping of all information pertinent to the traceability of medical cannabis
• Follow all site safety requirements including use of PPE; safety meetings as required
• Perform other functions as necessary to provide an adequate supply of products to meet patient demand
• Conduct counts of packaging/labeling materials
• Provide feedback to improve process quality and efficiency
• Adhere to a rigorous production schedule and ensure products are processed in an accurate and timely manner
• Adhere to strict sanitation practices throughout the facility
• Other tasks, as determined by the Director of Processing, to ensure the smooth operation of the facility
• Train new Processing Technicians
• Set the pace of the Processing department to ensure supply is met
• Ensure traceability logs are in compliance
• Review Chain of Custody logs
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Troubleshoot trimming equipment
• Review scheduling of machinery and resources
• Maintain and update work instructions

Qualifications

• High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required
• One year of experience in horticulture or related field required
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in any horticulture preferred
• Excellent computer, mathematical, language and reasoning skills; general computer ability
• Previous experience in medical cannabis industry (preferred)
• Constant desk-based computer tasks; frequently sitting and walking
• Occasionally twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl
• Strong communication skills with management and co-workers; regular use of telephone and e-mail for communication
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods; hearing and vision within normal ranges for typical conversations and documentation
• Some heavy lifting may be required; exertion up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Good manual dexterity for using common office equipment and manual tools
• Must be comfortable operating and troubleshooting trimming, batching, and sorting equipment
