Job summary

Marshalls, part of The TJX Companies, is seeking a retail team member to deliver a highly satisfied customer experience and maintain a clean and organized store environment at Marshalls Store 1550, Brentwood CA.

You will accurately ring up purchases, promote credit and loyalty programs, and support merchandising standards while adhering to safety and loss prevention practices. A flexible schedule and growth opportunities are available within a Fortune 100 company.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers and maintaining store standards.
• Ring up purchases, process returns, and handle cash with accuracy.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs to customers.
• Uphold merchandising standards and procedures for inventory and displays.
• Assist in store recovery, housekeeping, and safety compliance throughout the day.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and back-room areas.
• Accept feedback professionally and work well with peers and supervisors.
• Comply with labor laws, policies, and loss-prevention procedures.
• Support shrink reduction initiatives and safety awareness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience proven by engaging and interacting with all customers, embodying customer experience principles and philosophy, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Adheres to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards. May be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store in order to support the needs of the business.

• Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers
• Supports and embodies a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect
• Accurately rings customer purchases/returns and counts change back to customer according to established operating procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and follows established merchandising procedures and standards
• Accurately processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards
• Initiates and participates in store recovery as needed throughout the day
• Maintains all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participates in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Adheres to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs
• Participates in safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned
