Job summary

Quantum Computing Inc. in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Process Technician for Yield Enhancement and Metrology to join the fabrication team.

You will collaborate with Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, and Quality to collect and analyze metrology data, drive improvements, and ensure equipment performance throughout manufacturing. You will support optimization of metrology for multiple device stacks and process flows, including Optical Inspection, CD-SEM, AFM, ellipsometry, and profilometry.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or higher preferred or equivalent years of experience.
  • 1-3 years of semiconductor manufacturing, metrology, quality, or process technician experience.
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data entry in systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct experiments and measurements on pioneering technology.
  • Perform wafer handling, PM support, data collection, and process monitoring to ensure quality and stability.

Position Description

QCi is looking for a Process Technician Yield Enhancement & Metrology to join our fabrication team in Tempe Arizona. You will collaborate closely with Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering and Quality teams to collect and analyze metrology data, drive process improvements, troubleshoot tool-related issues, and ensure optimal equipment performance throughout the manufacturing process. You will support optimization of our metrology process for multiple device stacks in various process flows. Projects may include focus on one or more subject areas within the metrology: Optical Inspection, CD SEM, AFM, ellipsometry, profilometry.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Testing & Characterization
  • Perform experiments and measurements in a semiconductor cleanroom, working on pioneering technology.
  • Execute routine wafer handling, preventive maintenance support, data collection, and process monitoring activities to ensure product quality, process stability, and compliance with manufacturing specifications.
  • Support troubleshooting process deviations, quality issues, identifying and implementing corrective actions.
  • Support tool calibrations and qualifications to ensure the tool capabilities meet the technical quality roadmaps.
  • Audit calibration stickers for metrology tools and equipment, maintain recall system and record keeping.
  • Lead the assessment of existing metrology processes and SOPs, identifying improvement opportunities to increase process effectiveness, reliability, and productivity.
  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and cleanroom protocols to ensure process consistency, regulatory compliance, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
Collaboration
  • Collaboration with Process Engineering and Quality teams to monitor product performance, analyze metrology and yield data, and implement process improvements that enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Work closely with Equipment Engineering teams to troubleshoot tool-related issues, perform qualification and performance monitoring activities.
R equired Skills and Experience
  • Associates degree or higher preferred or equivalent years of experience
  • 1-3 years of semiconductor manufacturing, metrology, quality, or process technician experience
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment
  • Computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to enter, track, and retrieve data in manufacturing and quality systems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with semiconductor metrology tools such as optical inspection systems, profilometers, ellipsometers, CD-SEM, or thickness measurement equipment.
  • Continuous improvement experience, including participation in process optimization, yield improvement, or quality enhancement initiatives.
  • Experience working with 5S, and 6 Sigma
