Job summary

Pretium Packaging, a leading provider of rigid packaging solutions, seeks a mold technician on 3rd shift in Illinois. You will set up injection molds for production and monitor the process to maintain quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include startup of molding, programming robots, calibrating color loaders, and ensuring safety and ERP usage. You will support continuous improvement and attend required training to stay current with industry standards.

• Completes start up of molding process and provides first article to quality for approval.
• Programs robots and performs calibration of color loaders.
• Responsible for completing lock out tag out requirements for all equipment related to the molding process.
• Responsible for set up and processing of hydraulic and electric molding machines, troubleshooting of molding problems, programming or robots, set up of end of arm tooling, chutes and conveyor systems and authorized to make changes.
• Maintains quality throughout the molding process to meet all standards.
• Utilizes IQMS (ERP system) for entire production process.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Attend training to stay current with industry as required.
• Perform other related duties or special projects.
