Job summary

The Stow Company is seeking a qualified professional to monitor and adjust manufacturing equipment, driving continuous improvement across production lines. You will lead troubleshooting and software modifications for cutting, edge banding, routing, and drilling systems, and adapt new products to current processes.

You’ll write and modify control programs, support engineering in new process development, construct test fixtures, and collaborate with vendors as needed.

Qualifications

• 2–4 year technical degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Proven leadership and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to learn AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical and various programming environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical inclination.
• Team player with customer service mindset and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Eliminate equipment downtime by identifying root causes and correcting issues.
• Make software modifications for cutting, edge banding, routing, and drilling equipment.
• Lead problem solving on low voltage/controls issues on machinery.

Job description

• Monitors and adjusts equipment controls as needed.
• Ensures optimal performance of product manufacturing equipment and controls.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Eliminate equipment downtime by tracking problems to their root cause and correcting them.
• Make software modifications as needed to cutting, edge banding, routing, and drilling equipment.
• Take the lead on problem solving low voltage / controls problems on the machinery
• Adapt new products to the existing manufacturing processes.
• Write and modify programs for cutting, edge banding, routing, and drilling equipment.
• Support engineering staff in the development of new processes for manufacturing.
• Construct test fixtures and complete equipment upgrades as needed.
• Occasionally work with outside vendors to procure new equipment and/or software to improve the production process.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

• 2 – 4 year technical degree preferred, or equivalent experience

Knowledge / Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to communicate difficult issues with others.
• Ability to learn Auto-Cad, Auto-Cad Electrical, and various programming software environments.
• Ability to learn and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controller programs.

• Interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with individuals both internally and externally to The Stow Company

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Sitting at workstation approximately 20 percent of work time
• Standing and walking approximately 80 percent of work time
• Must be able to travel between plant and office locations
• Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice
• Manufacturing environment with multiple machinery and moving parts

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm
