Job summary

Spectrum Plastics Group in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Mold Setter to install molds in injection molding presses and cycle in jobs to meet specifications.

The role involves troubleshooting with operators, promoting safety, and using IQMS to set up and enter data against work orders. Candidates should have 2–4 years of mold setting experience and a college or technical school certificate. This is a full-time, hourly position.

Qualifications

• Two years experience at mold setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Install and remove molds from presses safely.
• Make sure all tools and fixtures are at the press and operational.
• Cycle in the job when mold installation is complete.
• Submit sample part to inspection for approval.
• Instruct press operators how to run the job, and any special instruction needed to run the press.
• Answer press operators' requests for help as needed to produce good quality parts.
• Make sure all documentation for the job is at the press.
• Work with Shift Supervisor to resolve any problems.
• Clean up work area after you finish.
• Other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

Install molds in injection molding presses and cycle in jobs to meet specifications. Work on troubleshooting with Operator and Inspection when part falls out of specifications.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Ensures that presses are running safely and correctly so that quality products can be produced to ship on-time to our customers.
• Ensures secondary operations are set up properly.
• Uses the IQMS software to set up and enter data against the work orders.
• Works with Production Supervisor on mold problem solving.
• Actively promotes and drives a culture of safety.

QUALIFICATIONS
