Job description

Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all. Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever. Micron is seeking motivated Process Technicians to support wafer manufacturing by monitoring operations, reviewing data, and working closely with engineering and production teams to enhance yield, quality, and efficiency. This role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and disciplined execution. Process Technicians must have the ability to recognize abnormal conditions and apply structured problem-solution to troubleshoot issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while adhering to established procedures. Ideal candidates are comfortable working with data, dashboards, and computer-based systems and are capable of extracting, analyzing, and interpreting trends and clearly communicating insights. Success depends on effective communication, strong organization and time management skills, the ability to work independently, and flexibility with responsibilities and shift schedules. As part of a fabrication team driving innovation for a global leader in memory and storage solutions, Process Technicians directly support manufacturing excellence while demonstrating reliability, engagement, and a growth mindset aligned with Micron’s core values: People, Innovation, Tenacity, Collaboration, and Customer Focus.

Responsibilities
  • Manage semiconductor equipment, perform technical evaluations, and partner with cross-functional teams to monitor, stabilize, and improve wafer fabrication processes.
  • Work with engineering teams to enhance workstations and apply structured troubleshooting and escalation paths for process or equipment issues.
  • Monitor process indicators (e.g., Statistical Process Control charts, dashboards, alarms) to identify abnormal conditions and take appropriate action using tools such as Microsoft Office.
  • Communicate clearly, manage time effectively, and follow procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Collect, review, and document production and process data using computer-based systems to support yield, quality, and traceability.
  • Conduct technical experiments, run process tests, and prepare data visualizations to identify yield and process trends.
  • Complete required safety training, work safely in varied environments (including uneven terrain and confined spaces), and respond appropriately to potential hazards.
  • Participate in shift pass down and cross-functional communication to ensure production continuity.
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Availability for 12hour shifts (3 days on/4 days off and 4 days on/3 days off), with flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to wear cleanroom garments (approximately 20%, depending on department) and occasional PPE such as chemical aprons and face shields (~1% of the time).
Preferred Requirements
  • Associate degree, technical certification, military training, or applied coursework in science, engineering, manufacturing, or related disciplines.
  • Experience demonstrating disciplined execution, data-driven work, or process adherence in manufacturing, laboratory, cleanroom, or other high-reliability environments.
  • Experience with process monitoring, data interpretation, or Statistical Process concepts (training on Micron-specific systems will be provided upon hire).
  • Experience and/or curiosity about developing Agentic AI workflows into current or future processes.
Benefits
  • Micron benefits are designed to help you stay well, provide peace of mind and help you prepare for the future.
  • We offer a choice of medical, dental and vision plans in all locations enabling team members to select the plans that best meet their family healthcare needs and budget.
  • Micron also provides benefit programs that help protect your income if you are unable to work due to illness or injury.
  • Paid family leave.
  • Robust paid time-off program and paid holidays.
