In addition, the Process Technician will assist in achieving product target cost, improve efficiency, identifying possible production problems for existing products.The Process Technician will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and will be an active member of the launch team. The Process Technician will be required to support multiple projects and work with their plant to obtain third part registration to TS16949 standards.Functions· Support project launch strategy· Assist production in trouble-shooting· Fill-in for supervisors as needed· Assist engineering in implementations of new process or revised process changes· Assist in set-up process after a tool change· Assist in process improvements· Support scrap/defect reduction process· Participate in identifying open items issues and task force· Support and maintain project time line· Provide on and off-site support for all pre-production builds requiring components and/or services from the manufacturing site.· Work with the team to develop processes, tune-in equipment and tooling· Assist with training of both technical and production in processing standards· Assist Engineering in minimizing start up costs· Review mold and secondary fixture design and make recommendations.
