Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Commitment to Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards and safe work practices.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic computer systems.
• Ability to work at heights, climb stairs and ladders, lift up to 55 pounds, and wear required PPE, including respiratory protection.

Responsibilities

• Operate fermentation and downstream recovery processes using field equipment and DCS.
• Prepare, clean, sanitize, and set up manufacturing equipment per SOPs and batch requirements.
• Execute batch operations, collect process samples, and maintain accurate production records.
• Coordinate daily production activities by addressing scheduling priorities, equipment issues, and process challenges.
• Support equipment reliability through maintenance coordination, work order initiation, and troubleshooting activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve plant performance, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Where You'll Make a Difference

• Operate fermentation and downstream recovery processes using both field equipment and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
• Prepare, clean, sanitize, and set up manufacturing equipment in accordance with established SOPs and batch requirements.
• Execute batch operations, collect process samples, and maintain accurate production and process documentation.
• Coordinate daily production activities by addressing scheduling priorities, equipment issues, and process challenges.
• Support equipment reliability through maintenance coordination, work order initiation, and troubleshooting activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve plant performance, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Three or more years of experience in biotechnology, fermentation, chemical processing, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or industrial production environments.
• Knowledge of industrial safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory requirements.
