The role oversees performance, optimization, yield and quality improvements, and technical problem solving, partnering with Production, Equipment, Quality, Safety, Engineering and global teams to achieve objectives.

Compensation: $115,000 – $173,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.

Position Summary:

The Manager, Process is responsible for leading process engineering and process improvement activities within an assigned manufacturing area to support safe, stable, and efficient production operations. This position oversees process performance, optimization, yield improvement, quality improvement, technical problem-solving, and continuous improvement to achieve safety, quality, productivity, cost, and operational objectives.

The Manager, Process leads Process Engineers and other assigned team members and partners with Production, Equipment, Quality, Safety, Engineering, and global teams to resolve complex process issues, improve manufacturing performance, and support stable and reliable production operations.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Manage process engineering and improvement activities to support safe, stable, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations.
• Monitor process performance, yield, quality, productivity, and other key performance indicators to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Lead the resolution of complex process, manufacturing, and quality issues using structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
• Develop and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions to improve process stability and manufacturing performance.
• Lead process optimization and continuous improvement projects to improve safety, quality, productivity, yield, cost, and efficiency.
• Establish and monitor process performance indicators and use data to prioritize improvement activities.
• Provide technical oversight and support for critical process engineering and manufacturing activities.
• Coordinate process activities with Production, Equipment, Quality, Safety, Engineering, and other departments to support operational priorities.
• Support new product, process, equipment, and manufacturing changes to ensure manufacturability and production readiness.
• Develop and maintain process standards, specifications, procedures, controls, and other required technical documentation.
• Support process validation, change management, and implementation of approved process improvements.
• Communicate with global headquarters and other technical teams regarding process performance, technical issues, continuous improvement, problem-solving, and planning.
• Support internal, customer, regulatory, and other applicable audits related to process, quality, safety, and documentation.
• Conduct required Layered Process Audits (LPAs) and ensure identified gaps are appropriately addressed.
• Support department budgeting, investment planning, purchasing, and resource planning as required
• Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:

• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, production engineering, or a related technical function.
• 3–6+ years of leadership or management experience within process engineering, manufacturing, production, or a related technical environment.
• Experience supporting large-scale, high-volume, and/or highly automated manufacturing operations.
• Demonstrated experience with process optimization, root-cause analysis, yield improvement, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Experience leading process improvement, technical, or continuous improvement projects.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing safety, quality, and process-control requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience within battery, automotive, advanced manufacturing, or another highly automated manufacturing environment.
• Experience with lithium-ion battery manufacturing processes.
• Experience with high-volume manufacturing process optimization and yield improvement.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC), process capability, DOE, or other process-analysis methodologies.
• Experience working with global engineering or manufacturing teams.
• Knowledge of applicable automotive quality management systems and document-control requirements.
• Experience implementing 5S, Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments.
• Regularly required to work within production and equipment areas to evaluate equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, support projects, and engage with team members.
• May be exposed to noise, moving mechanical equipment, automated machinery, electrical systems, manufacturing materials, temperature variations, and other conditions typical of an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with applicable safety requirements.
• Requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods while working throughout production and equipment areas.
• May require bending, reaching, climbing stairs, and accessing equipment and manufacturing areas.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and support days, nights, weekends, holidays, or additional hours as required by equipment, production, and business needs.
