Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

The Process Engineer will be responsible for optimizing and maintaining manufacturing processes within a GMP-compliant facility. This role involves continuous improvement, troubleshooting, and ensuring the efficiency, quality, and compliance of manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Process Optimization: Continuously review and optimize manufacturing and package processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and product quality while complying with GMP regulations. Monitor, analyze, and improve production rates, eliminating the non-value added activities.
  • GMP Compliance: Ensure that all manufacturing processes adhere to GMP guidelines, regulatory requirements, and following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and manufacturing teams to identify potential quality issues that could affect any KPIs. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions as needed.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data related to manufacturing processes, identifying trends, propose corrective and preventive actions or process improvements to enhance towards operational excellence.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and provide input into risk mitigation strategies, including the development of failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) documents.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and maintain sustainability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including R&D, QA, Regulatory Affairs, and Supply Chain, to streamline processes to satisfy customer expectations.
  • Safety: Ensure that safety protocols and procedures are followed in the manufacturing facility to protect the health and safety of employees.
  • Training: Provide effective training and development support to associates on all three shifts to promote operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Must be able to effectively collaborate and communicate with plant management team across all three shifts to support operational goals and ensure continuity of processes.
  • Must maintain an active presence on the manufacturing floor to monitor processes, assess performance, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5-7 years of experience required.
  • Six Sigma or Lean certification required.
  • Experience in a GMP manufacturing environment is preferred, particularly within nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or food production settings.
  • A teamwork-oriented mindset is mandatory. Candidates must be able to collaborate effectively, communicate openly, and contribute positively to a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with process automation and control systems.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs if required.
  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours.
  • Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment.
