Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Safety Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum five years of experience in process safety or a similar industrial environment.
  • Proven knowledge of OSHA PSM and EPA RMP requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and improve site Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Program (RMP) systems.
  • Facilitate PHA, HAZOPs, What-If reviews, LOPA, and other process risk assessments.
  • Track PHA recommendations, action items, and corrective actions to closure.
  • Lead MOC reviews and support PSSR for new/modified processes and equipment.
  • Maintain critical process safety information like P&IDs, PFDs, specs, and safeguards.
  • Support process safety incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and EH&S on capital projects.
  • Support audits, regulatory inspections, emergency preparedness, and performance monitoring.
  • Develop and deliver process safety training to promote a strong safety culture.
