Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. invites applicants for a semi-skilled role at the Climax Mine site in Colorado, approximately two hours from Denver.

The position supports operations and maintenance with safety as a priority, in a rural alpine setting at about 10,200 feet altitude. Eligible on-site employees receive a $1,450 monthly housing allowance and a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Three (3) months experience in Mining/Manufacturing or related field.
• Completion of required academic and practical competencies with aptitude; may include Line of Progression.
• Must pass written assessment where required and demonstrate safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Area housekeeping including shoveling, using fire hose, and digging.
• Operation of processing equipment.
• Assisting with maintenance activities.
• Operation of mobile equipment.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
