Job summary

Koppers Inc. is seeking a skilled operator to run process equipment per SOPs, monitor variables, sample and adjust processes, and handle loading, packaging, and warehousing of products on site.

Safety and accuracy are emphasized to meet environmental and quality standards. Candidates should have manufacturing experience (6+ months preferred), a solid understanding of mechanical equipment, and ability to use Microsoft Office and DeltaV system.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience and 6+ months of plant experience preferred.
• Must have good understanding of mechanical equipment.
• Must be capable of understanding and using Microsoft Office products and DeltaV system.

Responsibilities

• Operate process equipment following standard operating procedures and adjust process variables.
• Monitor, collect samples, analyze data, and ensure safe, quality operation.
• Load, unload, package, warehouse finished goods, and prepare shipments.
• Read production plans and coordinate with team members to plan work.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Perform light maintenance and assist maintenance with preventive tasks.
• Record process data, measurements, and observations.
• Follow safety rules and participate in required safety trainings.
