Job summary

Kraft Heinz - Winchester is seeking a Process Operator to operate and monitor processing lines, ensuring high-quality juice products. You will start up, run, and shut down equipment while following strict procedures and safety rules.

Responsibilities include quality checks, HACCP documentation, and coordinating with maintenance and other operators. A high school diploma or equivalent and manufacturing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Department: Process

Position Type: Hourly Hourly Wage: $27.38

Function: Operations

Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor all equipment to ensure flawless production of high-quality juice products
  • Start up, operate, and shut down processing equipment and systems.
  • Follow strict manufacturing procedures and adhere to safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure all products meet the company’s standards
  • Ensure HACCP and quality checks have been effectively documented at a set time.
  • Helps troubleshoot mechanical problems and notify technicians of issues
  • Ensures completion of all DMS forms (ie. CIL, CLM, 5S, Defect handling, Shift hand-offs)
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation
  • Work with other operators in the area to ensure all ingredients are on the line as needed. (FEFO)
  • Coordinate with team to cover crewing gaps, vacations, and call offs.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and communicates with maintenance to have issues fixed.
  • Continuously strive for excellence and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
  • Maintains good housekeeping and ensures “Area of Responsibility” is clean and orderly
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and producers
  • Maintains area at a tour ready status
  • Document material and batch losses
  • Performs all other duties assigned

This position also has accountability for QRMP standards as outlined in the Winchester Kraft Heinz QRMP accountability document.

Other Qualifications

In addition to the capabilities above a good candidate will possess strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, a basic understanding of mechanical parts and how they work.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food or beverage industry
  • Proficient in operating and maintaining machinery, showcasing a demonstrated ability in mechanical work.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures
  • Strong team collaboration skills and effective communication across different departments
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
Physical Considerations
  1. 1. Requires frequent walking and extended periods of standing
  2. 2. Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
  3. 3. Ability to climb
  4. 4. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required (steel-toed shoes, hair and beard nets, bump caps, gloves, eye protection, aprons etc.)
  5. 5. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment

  9. 9. May be requested work occasional overtime (including weekends)
