Job summary

Solenis is seeking a dedicated operator to control and monitor production equipment, ensuring safe, compliant and timely operation to meet customer demand and product specs.

Responsibilities include performing chemical charges, maintaining process control, and ensuring accurate documentation while supporting training for new operators. Must be able to lift, climb stairs, and work 12‑hour rotating shifts.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in math, written and spoken English.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing, handling chemicals preferred.

  • Operate plant equipment to meet productivity targets and perform chemical charges safely per SOPs.
  • Monitor processes and adjust control parameters using designated control systems.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and complete required documentation.
  • Conduct thorough shift turnovers and ensure training where needed; cover Lead Technician when required.

The position supports production operations, assists with training new operators, and may provide coverage for the Lead Technician as needed.The purpose of this position is to oversee the safe, compliant, and timely operation of production plants to ensure customer demand is met, product specifications are achieved, and all applicable regulations are followed.Complete training requirements as outlined in the progression plan and participate in training on new processes and tasks as required.Operate plant equipment to meet productivity targets and perform chemical charges safely in accordance with standard operating procedures.Monitor processes and adjust control parameters using designated control systems.Maintain process control to achieve First Pass Quality standards.Conduct thorough shift turnovers and ensure all required documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date.Maintain and replenish supplies and raw materials as needed within the assigned process area.Perform physical job requirements, including lifting up to 55 pounds, extended walking, bending, frequent stair climbing, operating a forklift, and using cleaning equipment.Maintain high housekeeping standards within the work area.Follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision to achieve daily objectives.Demonstrate a willingness to learn additional processes while maintaining responsibilities of the current role.Perform other duties as assigned.Position RequirementsEducationHigh school diploma or GED required. Proficient in math, written and spoken EnglishTechnical training preferredExperienceMinimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing, handling chemicals preferred.Ability to interface with computer operated systems and programsPhysical DemandsLift up to 50 pounds approximately 15%–40% of the timeAbility to climb stairs and/or ladders an average of 35 times per shiftAbility to pass a pulmonary function test to wear a respirator (clean shaven)Able to work 3 on 3 off rotating (days/nights) 12-hour shifts.Working ConditionsExposure to noise, dust, wet floors, seasonal heat and cold, hazardous chemicals, and chemical odorsRequired use of personal protective equipment, including a negative‑pressure respirator, safety shoes, hard hat, and safety glassesSpecial Skills and TrainingForklift and hoist operation, including equipment inspection and cleaningPotential exposure to hazardous chemicals and/or wasteRequired training, in compliance with federal regulations for hazardous waste exposure and handling, will be completed within six months of hire#onsiteWe understand that candidates will not meet every single desired qualification.
