Job summary

G-3 Chickadee in Beaumont, TX is seeking a Process Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will gain hands-on experience producing high-quality products at one of our chemical plants, working safely and collaboratively.

This role requires the ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime, and to follow all safety and quality procedures. Local candidates preferred; relocation is not available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Able to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate process and mechanical equipment; monitor, control and adjust as needed.
• Troubleshoot process, product quality, safety and environmental issues; identify maintenance needs.
• Review lab data and control system information to identify problems and make decisions.
• Clean and maintain a safe work environment.
• Follow standard work procedures and PPE requirements.
• Perform manual tasks in varying temperatures, with lifting and heights as applicable.
• Adhere to attendance policy.
• Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Understand and follow all instructions.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Perform routine operation of process and mechanical equipment; control, monitor and adjust as necessary
• Troubleshoot process, product quality, safety and environmental problems and identify equipment requiring maintenance
• Review, analyze, and interpret lab data, control system monitoring information, and log information from previous shifts to identify problems and make decisions
• Clean and maintain a safe work environment
• Abide by standard work procedures and job safety standards, including required PPE
• Perform a variety of manual tasks in varying temperatures for extended periods of time, which may include lifting light to heavy materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights and/or confined spaces when applicable
• Adhere to company attendance policy
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Understand and follow all instructions, both orally and in writing

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
• Must be able to successfully complete all pre-employment requirements
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Process Operations Technology
• Process Operations Technology certification
• Previous manufacturing experience with basic mechanical knowledge
• Previous experience as a Process Operator in a chemical, rubber, or petroleum environment
• Vocational or technical training
• Mechanical or technical apprenticeship experience
• Military technical experience
• Strong understanding of mechanical concepts and problem-solving ability
• Experience adhering to industry-specific safety standards
