Job summary

Steel Dynamics, Inc. is seeking a Metallurgist to support division activities, cross-train across metallurgist roles, and identify opportunities to improve products and processes.

The role includes designing and managing trials for product and process improvements and assisting in developing new rail and structural grades. Responsibilities also cover failure investigations with technical reporting and ongoing educational participation through conferences and training.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Metallurgical / Materials Engineering (or equivalent degree)
• Outstanding written and oral communication abilities, including presentation skills
• High attention to detail
