We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Process Mechanical Commissioning Technician to join our team. The Process Mechanical Commissioning Technician will be responsible for commissioning process chemical, gas, and process exhaust systems supporting manufacturing in a high-tech manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities
  1. Execute commissioning activities on process equipment and systems, including chemical, gas, and process exhaust systems.
  2. Coordinate lockout/tagout (LO/TO) procedures during startup, ensuring safety and adherence to work practices and quality standards.
  3. Develop and execute process system-specific commissioning and startup procedures aligned with design intent, drawings, specifications, and process integration.
  4. Review contractor testing procedures, reports, and activities to ensure compliance with all codes and regulatory requirements.
  5. Perform process system walk-downs and installation verifications against drawings, P&ID’s, specifications, and legislative prerequisites, reporting deficiencies or corrective actions.
  6. Prepare and execute startup checks, verifying completion and sign-off of startup documents.
  7. Conduct functional performance testing (FPT) to verify operation and integration of system components as per design intent.
  8. Review design drawings and specifications to confirm correct installation and compliance with project requirements.
  9. Attend daily construction meetings as necessary.
Requirements
  1. Time-served mechanical trades experience or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience.
  2. Previous experience in commissioning or operating and maintaining process equipment and systems in large industrial settings, focusing on exhaust systems and air handlers.
  3. Ability to work proactively as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Proficiency in MS Office and BMS systems.
