You will coordinate technical incident escalations, drive process improvements, and help translate engineering expertise and lessons learned into standardized processes, work instructions, and sustainable operational practices. Your work will directly contribute to asset reliability, supplier performance, operational excellence, and business continuity across the Wilton site.

Role and Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for engineering-related incident escalations from operations, user groups, and suppliers.
  • Ensure incidents are properly assessed, prioritized, and routed to the appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and System Owners.
  • Track and coordinate technical escalations through resolution, ensuring clear ownership, follow-up actions, and closure.
  • Analyze recurring incidents and operational issues to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve reliability, reduce repeat incidents, and strengthen operational processes.
  • Develop and standardize escalation workflows, handoff procedures, process documentation, and lessons learned practices.
  • Translate technical expertise and engineering requirements into practical work instructions, operational standards, and supplier guidance.
  • Facilitate collaboration between Engineering & Competence, Hard Services, and IFM suppliers to ensure consistent execution and alignment.
  • Support supplier onboarding, performance improvement, and adherence to technical standards and escalation processes.
  • Maintain documentation including process maps, escalation matrices, troubleshooting guides, and improvement registers.
  • Monitor operational performance trends and use data to identify opportunities for process improvements and increased operational maturity.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and provide visibility into incident status, risks, corrective actions, and improvement initiatives.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years experience in facilities, utilities, manufacturing support, semiconductor, or critical infrastructure environments.
  • Experience in process improvement, facilities engineering, maintenance engineering, technical operations, or incident management.
  • Experience working in complex operational environments supporting critical assets, utilities, manufacturing systems, or building infrastructure.
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Experience developing operational procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.

  • Experience with continuous improvement and process optimization methodologies.
  • Knowledge of incident management, escalation processes, and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Understanding of facilities operations, maintenance processes, utilities, and asset management principles.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical operational solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to drive accountability, standardization, and sustainable improvements.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and implement lasting solutions.

Other Information

This role is not a dedicated Subject Matter Expert (SME) position and is not a traditional facilities operations role. Instead, it focuses on improving the effectiveness of Engineering & Competence by ensuring technical knowledge, operational feedback, and incident learnings are translated into structured processes and sustainable improvements.

The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening collaboration between Engineering & Competence, Hard Services, and IFM suppliers while helping improve asset reliability, supplier performance, operational maturity, and business continuity across the CRE organization.
