Job summary

Bradford Labs in Illinois seeks a dedicated Process Engineer, Continuous Improvement to assess and continuously improve production processes across Broadview and Blue Island facilities, covering liquid, hot pour, and aerosol lines. You will lead CI initiatives, apply Lean and Six Sigma methods, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of process design and CI experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in chemical processes and formulation technologies (e.g., soap base-like materials).
• Hands-on experience with compounding, mixing, extrusion, milling, hot pour, liquid filling, and aerosol filling.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of process design and CI projects from concept to startup.
• Design, implement, and optimize new production processes with emphasis on efficiency, safety, and quality.
• Conduct process development, trials, validations, and optimizations to establish robust process parameters.
• Source and evaluate equipment and process technology suppliers to meet objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align designs with business goals.
• Troubleshoot process issues and provide technical guidance to resolve challenges.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, health regulations, and internal procedures.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including flow diagrams, SOPs, and process specs.
• Lead CI initiatives across IL sites using Lean and Six Sigma, including value stream mapping and DMAIC projects.
• Develop, track, and report KPIs such as OEE, yield, scrap, downtime, and cost savings.
