Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s technical degree, engineering discipline preferred.
  • 0–3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of process optimization and automation techniques, Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical analysis.
  • Proficiency in process analysis, process modelling, statistical analysis, and simulation software.
  • Mechanical design experience is highly preferred, including working knowledge of electrical engineering codes and standards.
  • Experience in implementing control methodology in PLC and HMI platforms required.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and draft control system and electrical wiring schematics necessary.
  • Working knowledge of CAD design requirements.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex process issues.
  • Working knowledge of process safety, risk assessment, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel (domestic & international) 10% varying depending on demand.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation to reduce cost, minimize waste, increase efficiency, and improve safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of new processes, technologies, and equipment.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze process data to identify trends and propose solutions for process improvement.
  • Utilize process capability studies, statistical analysis, and data-driven decision-making to achieve operational excellence and meet production targets.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in all engineering and automation activities.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and evaluation of existing manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Design and implement process optimization strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle time, and improve product quality.
  • Develop and manage capital projects related to process improvement and automation.
  • Provide engineering designs to include equipment layouts, sizing, specification, selection, mechanical piping drawings, electrical drawings, bill of materials, bid package drawings, etc.
  • Work with the supply chain to manage the procurement of any equipment, supplies, and services related to projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Monitor and analyze process performance metrics, such as cycle time, yield, and scrap rate to develop strategies that meet or exceed targets.
  • Identify and implement process control measures, including statistical process control (SPC) techniques, to ensure consistent quality and reduce process variation.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve process-related issues and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Lead process validation activities, including protocol development, execution, and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
  • Provide training and guidance to production teams on new processes, procedures, and equipment to ensure successful implementation and operation.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in process improvement and automation engineering technologies, methodologies, and best practices.
