Avnet in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Process Improvement Specialist who owns the creation and maintenance of process documentation and customer playbooks. The role analyzes and measures current processes and develops sustainable improvements aligned with business goals.

You will map end-to-end workflows, capture variations, and lead cross-functional teams to drive Lean or Six Sigma initiatives. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years' experience are expected, with travel as needed.

• Diagrams and evaluates existing processes.
• Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams.
• Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities. Collects data to identify root cause of problems.
• Measures performance against process requirements. Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls.
• Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality.
• May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control.
• Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes. Communicates team progress. Performs cost and benefit analyses.
• Collects and analyzes process, quality and/or financial data.
• Initiates, develops and recommends business practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, increased productivity, reduced cost and improved decision-making.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Owns the creation and ongoing maintenance of process documentation that supports operational standardization and customer-specific execution. This includes documenting SOPs, mapping end-to-end processes, capturing process variations and exceptions, and maintaining customer playbooks as requirements and workflows evolve. Analyzes and measures the effectiveness of existing business processes and develops sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements.

• Thorough knowledge of principles, theories and concepts in area of discipline. Competent in all job functions and has general understanding of the industry practices, techniques and standards.

• Work is performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. May receive some limited guidance for new assignments. Work may be reviewed for overall adequacy.

Work Experience
