Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking a Mechanical Technician to build, test, and commission pressurized process gas skids for our advanced nuclear reactor fleet. The role spans tube bending, piping, compressors, chillers, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels, from first fit‑up through leak and pressure testing and startup.

You’ll uphold safety, quality, and workmanship while partnering with engineering to turn designs into reliable hardware.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of hands-on mechanical experience in a process plant, chemical plant, power generation, or similar industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and test process system skids per drawings and specs; coordinate with technicians.
• Maintain safety, workmanship, and cleanliness during tube bending, fittings, and assembly.
• Review drawings/procedures with engineering; raise discrepancies or unsafe conditions early.
• Assemble skids to P&IDs, isometrics, and general arrangements per instructions.
• Install and inspect piping, flanges, valves, and vessels with proper torque and gaskets.
