Job summary

SRCTec, LLC in Syracuse, NY is hiring an Engineering Technician to join the Process Engineering team. You will support engineers and production during product transitions, verification, and early production phases, with a focus on hands-on tasks.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in technical discipline
• 3+ Years of related manufacturing and production process experience
• Possess strong mechanical aptitude, basic small‑tool skills, ability to lift up to 20 lbs., and ability to sit or kneel on the floor as needed.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support engineers and production personnel during product transition, verification, initial production, and product sustainment production phases.
• Support assembly and maintenance of material carts including assembling new, modifying existing, and supporting part identification.
• Support assembly and maintenance of hardware storage units including assembling new and modifying existing.
• Support visual management including assisting with 6S activities and updating the Production visual management board formats.
• Assist with work cell layout changes, including planning and moving production work cells.
• Maintain the 6S Program inventory (planning, ordering, inventorying, etc.)
• Support Process Engineering supply area by maintaining kanban list, replenishing kanban items, managing offsite inventory, and maintaining the 6S program in the Process Engineering area.
• Assist with Consumables and Chemicals Master List adding new kanban items, assisting with put away, and assisting technicians with issues in the area.
• Auditing and updating Facility Layout Zone and Emergency maps.
• Lead small-scale projects with support from Process Engineers
• Comply with and support company policies and programs regarding safety, quality, compliance, security, etc.
