Job summary

Job Juncture seeks a Manager, Process Engineering in Austin, TX, onsite, with relocation assistance. Base salary range $150,000–$160,000 plus annual bonus. The role leads a manufacturing engineering team, driving design transfers and process improvements across multiple product lines.

You will guide design for manufacturability, manage CAPA and quality documentation, and collaborate on cross-functional development projects in a regulated medical device environment. Relocation support is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in process or manufacturing engineering.
• 3+ years managing an engineering team.
• Machining background.
• New product introduction experience.
• Hands-on experience with CMMs, vision inspection systems and profilometers.
• Strong GD&T.
• Data analysis and statistics skills (Minitab preferred).
• Risk assessment experience (FMEA).

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop manufacturing engineers and technicians.
• Serve as the primary process and manufacturing expert on cross-functional new product teams.
• Drive design transfer of new products into production, both in-house and at suppliers.
• Provide DFM input on engineering prints and communicate process limits and capabilities to design teams.
• Guide process capability assessments and prioritize and implement process improvements.
• Design and develop processes, tooling, fixturing and automation.
• Write and review process validation protocols and reports.
• Ensure documentation meets quality system requirements (BOMs, routers, FMEAs).
• Own deliverables tied to CAPA, project management and quality systems.
• Plan and lead manufacturing technical reviews and oversee development builds.
• Take part in lean reviews and Kaizen events, and contribute to intellectual property submissions.

About the Company

Our client is a growing medical device manufacturer with an established design, development and manufacturing operation in Austin.

The Opportunity

This role leads the process engineering team that takes new products from design into production. You'll manage a sizable team of experienced engineers and technicians and support a full pipeline of development projects across multiple product lines. It's a player-coach role: you'll guide the team, step in on technical problems when needed, and be the go-to manufacturing voice on cross-functional development teams.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional early or late calls with global teams.
