Jacobs Life Sciences North America is seeking Process Engineering Interns in a hybrid role. You will be paired with a process engineer mentor and contribute to deliverables like PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment data sheets.

The program includes a dedicated Process Training Program with sessions, libraries of recordings, and presentations to the Cary management team, preparing you for engineering careers in biopharma facilities.

Competenze

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• 3.0 GPA or higher preferred.
• Previous design internship experience is a plus.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management; time management and organizational skills.

Your Impact

We are looking for Process Engineering Interns to join our Jacobs Life Sciences North America group in various locations. Jacobs works with some of the biggest names in the Life Sciences, Biotechnology, and Pharmaceutical industries locally and worldwide. The role is intended to be a hybrid position.In this role, you will be paired with a process engineer peer mentor and be a part of a project team, helping to complete project deliverables. You will have the opportunity to learn how to read, understand and develop different deliverables including Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID), Equipment Lists and Equipment Data Sheets. As an intern, you will also be included in the Jacobs Life Sciences North America Process Training Program. This program gathers all of Jacobs young process engineers across the US to learn about different unit operations from Jacobs Subject Matter Experts. In addition, you will gain access to a library of previously recorded sessions and any new sessions that take place during your time with Jacobs.At Jacobs, our intern program spans across various departments allowing for you, as a process department intern, to build connections and interact outside of just the process department. The intern program also includes presentations by each of the department managers, giving you a better idea of what this office does as a whole. At the conclusion of the program, all interns will reflect and summarize their experience via a presentation to their peers and the Cary management team.Here's what you'll need

• In pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering degree from an accredited university
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future

Ideally, you'll also have

• 3.0 GPA or higher
• Previous design internship experience
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management
• Self-driven time management and organizational skills
