Job summary

Frey Consulting Group in Sherman, Texas is seeking a Process Engineer to support wafer fabrication process development, optimization, and production in a cleanroom environment. You will work with cross-functional teams to improve processes, increase yield, and reduce defects across multiple modules.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of semiconductor process engineering experience and hands-on experience in wafer fabrication, with strong data analysis skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of semiconductor process engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience in a semiconductor wafer fabrication or cleanroom manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and wafer processing fundamentals.
  • Experience using SPC, process capability analysis, control plans, and engineering statistics.
  • Experience designing and executing engineering experiments (DOE).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using data analysis tools such as Excel, JMP, Python, SQL, or MATLAB.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Sherman, Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, characterize, and optimize semiconductor wafer fabrication processes.
  • Support process modules including photolithography, wet etch, dry etch, deposition, metallization, anneal, and related manufacturing operations.
  • Analyze process performance using SPC, process capability studies, engineering statistics, and data analytics.
  • Design and execute engineering experiments to improve yield, reduce defects, and increase process stability.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation including SOPs, process recipes, control plans, and OCAPs.
  • Support new product introductions and process transfers into high‑volume manufacturing.
  • Investigate process excursions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, equipment, and product engineering teams to improve operational performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, scrap reduction, and cycle time improvements.
