Job ID: 10529118 | Amazon.com Services LLC

Are you inspired by invention? Is problem solving through teamwork in your DNA? We apply advances in robotics and software to solve real-world problems that delight our customers' experiences in ways we can't even imagine yet.
Amazon Robotics (AR) is located in the greater Boston area, the epicenter of robotics innovation. Our diverse team of engineers come from all over the world to design, test and build our dynamic fleet of robots and mechatronic systems. Having our offices, labs, test floors and factories all co-located means that we can design the hardware, write the code, test, build and watch it all come to life. This allows us to innovate quickly and on limitless ideas. Current advancements are underway in robotic movement and mobility, artificial intelligence and machine learning, manipulation, simulation, robotic management software, predictive data, and much more.
The Robotics Manufacturing and Technical Operations (RMTO) organization builds and scales the production systems that bring Amazon's robotic fleet to life. We operate across multiple manufacturing sites, working cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams globally to deliver high-quality robotic systems at the pace innovation demands.
The Process Engineer will be responsible for the development, installation, validation, and optimization of complex manufacturing processes and systems used to produce robotics. This role collaborates cross-functionally within Operations and cross-geographically to define process requirements, procure and validate equipment, and drive optimization and cost-reduction initiatives. The Process Engineer will be expected to clearly communicate project status, risks, and change control to senior management.

Key job responsibilities
  • Develop and validate manufacturing processes to meet product technical requirements for New Product Introduction (NPI) programs from prototype through production release.
  • Drive process optimization and cost reduction initiatives across scaling production lines.
  • Author business cases and operational planning documents for capital equipment and plant infrastructure investments.
  • Develop and implement technology and tooling improvements that deliver measurable impact to Safety, Quality, and Cost targets.
  • Conduct process reviews including Failure Mode, Risk, and Hazard assessments to ensure production readiness.
  • Travel approximately 25% to support project scoping and cross-site collaboration.
