  • Manufacturing & Quality control: Assist technical personnel with troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing stations and production equipment.
  • Process Development & Optimization: Design and implementation of improved processes tailored for high-power optoelectronic components.
  • Qualification & Reliability Testing: Analyze failure modes and drive corrective actions to improve process robustness and yield.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with design, materials, and manufacturing engineering teams to ensure process compatibility with product requirements.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Use statistical tools (e.g., DOE, SPC) to analyze process data and present findings to the team.

We are seeking a highly motivated Process Development Engineer to participate in the development, optimization, and qualification of advanced optoelectronic components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manufacturing & Quality control:
    • Assist technical personnel with troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing stations and production equipment.
    • Maintain control charts, calibration procedures and SOPs to support production flow.
  • Process Development & Optimization:
    • Participate in design and implementation of improved processes tailored for high-power optoelectronic components.
    • Evaluate and suggest equipment, materials, techniques to meet thermal, optical, electrical, and mechanical requirements for process under development.
  • Qualification & Reliability Testing:
    • Analyze failure modes and drive corrective actions to improve process robustness and yield.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with design, materials, and manufacturing engineering teams to ensure process compatibility with product requirements.
    • Support transition of developed processes to volume production, including documentation, training, and troubleshooting.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Use statistical tools (e.g., DOE, SPC) to analyze process data and drive continuous improvement.
    • Prepare technical reports and present findings to the engineering team and external partners.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or related field.
  • Experience in optoelectronics and/or semiconductor packaging.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor laser physics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with failure analysis methods of light emitting devices.
  • Experience with high-power semiconductor laser manufacturing and/or testing.
  • Experience with optical components for light guidance and light collimation.
