Job summary

Danone U.S. is seeking a Process Engineer for the Mt. Crawford, VA facility. The role focuses on equipment improvement, standardization, and problem solving to eliminate losses and drive continuous improvement on the line.

Based in Mt. Crawford, you will spend 60-80% of time on the shop floor, collaborate with Line Leaders and frontline teams, and apply Reliability Engineering tools to optimize safety, quality and cost performance.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 4-year engineering degree preferred; or 3-5 years manufacturing with leadership ability.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as backup to Line Leader and lead Daily Direction Setting when Line Leader is unavailable.
  • Identify, prioritize, and eliminate process losses; lead discussions on losses.
  • Define equipment standards and drive standardization across processes.
  • Direct and coach change management and validation processes.
  • Train and develop frontline teams on process/equipment changes.
  • Own the Change Management system for a designated process.
  • Update process control strategies and operating procedures with changes.
  • Spend 60-80% of time on the floor with cross-functional teams.
