Job summary

freshexpress seeks a Process Engineer to partner with management in identifying opportunities to improve quality, cost, and performance across manufacturing processes. The role involves analyzing current metrics, developing lean initiatives, and deploying new processes with cross-functional teams.

You will support capital projects and drive DMAIC/Kaizen-driven improvements to sustain results. Required are a BS/BA in a related field or certification, Six Sigma/Lean certifications, and 5+ years in

BS/BA degree in related field or certification.
Six Sigma, Lean, Black, Yellow, and Green Belt certified.
Minimum 5 years working in multiple manufacturing environments.
5+ years experience in the food industry in either product or process development.

Responsibilities

Analyze opportunities to reduce process variation and optimize performance.
Develop process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and productivity.
Facilitate deployment of new/changed processes for better results.
Develop standard procedures and policies for operations teams.
Train and guide resources as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce process and business variations.
Assist with management of capital projects.
Prepare project presentations for management as needed.
Review and update procedures based on project requirements.
Implement lean manufacturing principles to drive improvements.
Engage with DMAIC, TPM, Kaizen to sustain improvements.
