Sumitomo Electric Interconnect Products, Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer in San Marcos, CA. This in-person role focuses on safe, stable production processes, machine controls, and lean improvements across manufacturing lines.

You will analyze processes, troubleshoot, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure quality and efficiency. Ideal candidates have a BS in engineering, 2+ years in manufacturing, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in MS Office 365 applications.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams.
• Strong organizational skills with a meticulous focus on accuracy and quality of work.
• Self-motivated, goal oriented with strong willingness to learn and solve complex problems.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards in the manufacturing industry.
• Willingness to travel to Mexico and Japan.

Responsabilités

• Develop goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish assigned work.
• Investigate equipment failures and diagnose faulty operation; recommend countermeasures.
• Provide feedback to design engineers on equipment problems and needs.
• Analyze information and evaluate results to choose best solutions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and reports.
• Recommend design modifications to improve machine performance and productivity.
• Plan, design, install and maintain process controls for production machinery.
• Create and modify machine programs for automated equipment.
• Study and analyze existing process/equipment operation for designated area(s).
• Design equipment, write programs and control systems to ensure product specifications are met.
