Job summary

Ohly is seeking a Process Engineer Intern for our Boyceville, WI site. The role focuses on improving production processes such as Spray Drying, Blending, and separations, with hands-on responsibility for modeling and controls.

You will collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering while contributing to safety programs. Required coursework and GPA support a strong foundation in chemical engineering.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Biosystems Engineering, or other engineering field.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8.
• High school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Work with Operations Team (Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Safety) to improve output and efficiency of production processes including Spray Drying, Blending, Separations, or Enzymatic reactions.
• Develop and improve mass, energy, cost, and labor balance modeling.
• Implement and optimize process controls.
• Develop strategies to improve process performance.
• Update Process & Instrumentation Diagrams
• Create/revise procedures and instructions
• Actively participate in daily production meetings

Ohly has a great opportunity for a Process Engineer Intern to join our team in Boyceville Wisconsin USA.

The Process Engineer Intern will be responsible for the job duties as described below;

Process Improvement Responsibilities

• Work with Operations Team (Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Safety) to improve output and efficiency of production processes including Spray Drying, Blending, Separations, or Enzymatic reactions
• Develop and improve mass, energy, cost, and labor balance modeling
• Implement and optimize process controls
• Develop strategies to improve process performance
• Update Process & Instrumentation Diagrams
• Create/revise procedures and instructions

Communication

• Ensure all departments are generally aware of process work, and affected personnel are informed
• Work collaboratively with operators on all changes
• Support ‘upward’ flow of ideas and concerns
• Actively participate in daily production meetings

Safety Responsibilities

• Demonstrates safety takes priority and insists on strict adherence to safety policies/procedures
• Support and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and the Food Safety Plan
• Participates in the Ohly Americas safety program including but not limited to attending weekly, monthly, and annual safety training
