Job summary

Applied Materials is looking for a Process Engineer to become part of a world class team focused on developing the next generation CVD products. This is an excellent opportunity for research and development of materials that will enable current and future semiconductor device nodes.

The ideal candidate will lead the technological advancement that requires development of various materials, deposition techniques and determine how to integrate the films for semiconductor device manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Must have strong foundational knowledge in process engineering for semiconductor devices.
  • Experience with CVD and materials deposition processes is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects.

Responsibilities

  • Drive innovation and development of CVD process & hardware technology.
  • Define technical path to solve high value problems.
  • Develop, plan and execute process engineering development projects.
  • Lead and participate in discussions with internal and external stakeholders to deliver world-class performance solutions to the customers.
  • Advance in-depth understanding of process, hardware and their interaction in highly complex systems.
  • Perform process and hardware characterization on highly complex systems.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
