Job summary

CRB Group is seeking a Process Engineer II to design manufacturing facilities and associated equipment, while supporting infrastructure and utility systems. You will work in a highly collaborative team, execute multiple tasks, and help deliver scope within project schedules and budgets.

The role emphasizes mentorship, collaboration with Lead/Senior Engineers, and contribution to design and documentation packages across multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Basic exposure to industry/regulatory guidance and local building codes.
  • Fundamentals of Engineering exam registration or completion.

Responsibilities

  • Interfaces with clients and external partners.
  • Develops construction drawings and basic specifications.
  • Supports construction activities such as RFI responses and reviews.
  • Contributes to squad checks to produce high-quality deliverables.
  • Mentors and guides Designer I in translating design into RevIt models.

Job Description

The Process EngineerIIfocuses on the design of manufacturing facilityandequipment, supportingfacility infrastructure and critical utility systemsas a part of a highly interactive team. This individual is expected to execute work on one or more intermediate level tasks simultaneously and works closely withthe Lead orSeniorEngineer. This individual may also delegate some basic and fundamental tasks to Entry-Level and Design staff and providesoversight to their work. The Process EngineerIIis expected to support the Lead Engineer and have responsibility for defined scope of the project such as a unit operation or small area. This individual should understand the project schedule and budget and develop a work plan to support the delivery of their scope in support of those broader team goals.

Responsibilities

  • Interfaceswith clientsand external partners.
  • Developsconstruction drawing packages and writesconstruction specifications on basic projects of limited complexity withsomeoversight.
  • Supportsconstruction activities such as RFI responses, submittal reviews, punch list development and construction progress reports.
  • Participatesand contributesto squad checksto produce coordinated, high-quality deliverables.
  • Providesmentorship and guidance to Designer I to translate the engineering design into the Revit model with oversight from the Lead or Senior Engineer.
  • Participatesin basic project system design programming with support from Lead or Senior Engineer.
  • Formsan understanding of the industry landscape, buildsrelationships withvendorsand attendsexternal industry events.
  • Delegatessome basic and fundamental tasks to Entry-Level and Design staff and providesoversight to their work.
  • Supportsthe generation of deliverables which require more experience, deeper understanding or involve more complexity such as:
    • Authoring Basis of DesignReports
    • Hazardous Material Summary
    • Material Balances
    • Heat Transfer Calculations
    • Process Simulation
    • Process Descriptions
    • Equipment Specifications
    • Hygienic PipingDesign
    • Room Cards
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an operating company or design firm setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Officesuite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic exposure to applicable IndustryorRegulatory Guidance andlocalbuilding codes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fundamentals of Engineering exam registration or completion
  • Proficiency in 2D / 3D design platforms (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
  • A high degree of proficiency performingor developinga variety of engineering calculationsrelated to fluid mechanics,heat transferor material and energy balances
  • Basic experience conducting field surveys of existing conditions andresolving and reportingfieldissues
  • Proficient with basic internal and external cross-discipline project team coordination
  • Proficient with basic coordination with construction trade partners,vendorsand manufacturers
