You are the engineer Illumina is looking for. In your future role at the Madison site of the global leader in genetic sequencing, you will be part of the Engineering Services team providing process-focused engineering support for the equipment and systems producing the enzymes that fuel Illumina’s sequencing and array-based solutions. You will drive process performance through process development and design, data-driven troubleshooting, process capability assessment, yield improvement, scalable equipment solutions, process control strategy, and product and technical transfer from development through manufacturing implementation. You will support fermentation vessels, purification systems, heat treatment equipment, solids conveyance, centrifuges, chromatography instruments, cold storage, analytical equipment, and emerging platform projects. You will contribute to a self-directed, diverse team by improving process capabilities, strengthening equipment reliability, enabling scale-up readiness, and applying statistical and engineering methods to sustain control. The estimated base salary range for the Process Engineer II role based in the United States of America is: $76,500 - $114,700. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. The range reflects long-term growth in the role; therefore, most candidates are hired between the minimum and middle of the range. Placement depends on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
