Job summary

Jedson Engineering seeks a process-design engineer to join our growing team in the consumer products sector. You will execute designs, analyze data, and ensure feasibility and reliability of equipment and systems.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with hands-on experience in PFDs/P&IDs, plus proficiency in AutoCAD and Fathom. On-site, plant, and startup exposure is preferred. You will work with clients to deliver ethical, compliant engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in the consumer products industry preferred.
• Experience in leading or executing process designs in the form of engineering calculations documented on PFDs, P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, specifications, design basis, and associated lists.
• Knowledge of typical chemicals and fluids used in consumer products applications, interactions with materials of construction, and proper design considerations.
• Fluency with AutoCAD and Fathom.
• Understanding of fluid control valves and instrumentation.
• Familiarity with specification and sizing of pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, and other process equipment.
• Great customer relationship skills/management experience.
• Preferably on-site, in plant, and startup experience

Responsibilities

• Execute process designs primarily within the consumer products industry, analyzing data to support sound design decisions.
• Apply theory to determine feasibility of design, identify potential upsets and malfunctions, and incorporate appropriate remediations.
• Uphold professional ethics, codes and standards in interactions with clients and project teams.
