Donson Machine in Alsip, IL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer responsible for processing parts from start to finish, quoting and developing manufacturing methods, and ensuring quality and timely delivery. The role requires CAD analysis, GD&T interpretation, and collaboration with programmers and machinists to create efficient, repeatable processes.

The ME will maintain organized tracking of the manufacturing pathway, review lead times, and help design in-house fixturing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in process, product, or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with CNC machining processes.
• Proficient in CAD software for design analysis.
• Strong GD&T reading and interpretation.
• HS diploma; English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Write manufacturing processes and sequence of operations.
• Drive and verify on-time, quality delivery.
• Collaborate with CNC machinists to plan manufacture.
• Write inspection processes for materials and finished goods.
• Establish material requirements and inventory needs.
• Meet efficiency targets during setup and operation.
• Review projects for profitability after completion.
• Coordinate tooling, fixtures, and gaging requirements.
• Assess lead times for tooling, fixturing, and outside processes.
