Piper Companies seeks a Process Engineer - Aseptic Filling & Formulation Support for a long-term remote contract in the United States. You will provide technical leadership and hands-on engineering support for aseptic fill/finish production within a GMP environment.

Required: 5+ years in pharmaceutical process engineering, direct aseptic filling experience, and a Bachelor’s in Chemical, Mechanical, or Pharmaceutical Engineering.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of process engineering experience in pharma or biotech environments.
• Direct experience with aseptic filling operations and sterile injectable production.
• Knowledge of formulation, compounding, filling systems, and aseptic processing tech such as isolators or RABS.
• Experience supporting validation activities, tech transfers, and capital projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for sterile filling and formulation operations in GMP environments.
• Support commissioning, qualification, startup, and operational readiness for aseptic equipment.
• Investigate issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Collaborate with QA, Validation, Manufacturing, Automation, and projects teams on deviations and change controls.
• Represent capital projects and technology transfers from design through implementation.

Piper Companies is seeking a Process Engineer - Aseptic Filling & Formulation Support to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organization for a long term remote contract opportunity. The Process Engineer - Aseptic Filling & Formulation Support will provide technical leadership and hands‑on engineering support for sterile manufacturing operations, helping drive the successful execution of aseptic fill/finish production, facility expansion initiatives, technology transfers, and manufacturing readiness activities within a GMP-regulated environment.

Responsibilities of the Process Engineer - Aseptic Filling & Formulation Support include:

• Provide engineering support for sterile filling, formulation, and compounding operations while ensuring alignment with GMP requirements.
• Support commissioning, qualification, startup, and operational readiness efforts for aseptic manufacturing equipment and production lines.
• Investigate process and equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions to improve performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with Quality, Validation, Manufacturing, Automation, and project teams to support deviations, CAPAs, change controls, and process improvements.
• Serve as a technical representative for capital projects, technology transfers, and facility expansion initiatives from design through implementation.

Qualifications for the Process Engineer - Aseptic Filling & Formulation Support include:

• 5+ years of process engineering experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or sterile manufacturing environments.
• Direct experience supporting aseptic filling operations, sterile injectable production, or parenteral manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of formulation, compounding, filling systems, and aseptic processing technologies such as isolators or RABS.
• Experience supporting validation activities, technology transfers, manufacturing scale‑up efforts, or capital project execution.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Compensation for the Process Engineer - Aseptic Filling & Formulation Support:

Salary Range: $110,000-$130,000/year (USD)
