Job summary

Lam Research in Oregon is seeking a Process Engineer to advance deposition and etch technologies within the Deposition Group. You will design, develop, and optimize process formulations and equipment interfaces to meet stringent semiconductor processing requirements.

You will analyze test data, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support customer demos while driving cost reductions and yield improvements across cutting-edge equipment platforms.

Responsibilities

• Conduct process engineering research, development, and evaluation in support of Lam’s semiconductor equipment and systems.
• Review and enhance processing techniques and methods used in manufacture and fabrication of products.
• Develop and sustain new processes and process improvements to reduce production costs and increase yields.
• Compile and analyze test data to establish next steps in process development and determine limits and variables for process specifications.
• Collaborate to plan, collect data, analyze results, and report on customer demos for existing process applications.
• Partner cross-functionally and with customers to understand roadmaps, requirements, and business challenges.
• Contribute to next-generation product development and release activities supporting the semiconductor roadmap.
• Provide leadership and direction to process technicians to support execution activities.
• Work closely with customers to introduce and drive adoption of new technologies at customer sites.

What You’ll Do

• Provide leadership, clear direction, and guidance to process technicians to support execution activities.
