Charter Casting in Woodstock, IL is hiring a Process Engineer to lead safety, quality, yield, and throughput improvements on the shop floor. You will work with operations, engineering, and contractors to implement new equipment and processes, manage capital projects, and drive variation reduction using standard process methods.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, 1+ year manufacturing experience, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1+ years manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of lean, Kaizen, 5S and 6σ.
• Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly, and production equipment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Self-starter with strong analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of SPC, PFMEA, control plans, process diagrams, and routings.
• Basic 3D CAD software skills.

Work with other functions to implement new products, materials, equipment, and processes into production to improve cost competitiveness and customer satisfaction. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on various factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, and qualifications.
