Job summary

Exentec in Nampa, ID, seeks an engineer to develop high-purity gas and ultrapure chemical systems under the Lead Engineer Mechanical. You will provide detailed engineering, specifications, and P&IDs, and lead/participate in process safety reviews such as PSM, HAZOP, and FMEA.

You will design and develop new products, perform process simulations, size equipment, and analyze flow. Collaborate with teams to expand into new markets and improve existing offerings, while ensuring compliance with QA/QC

Qualifications

  • BSME, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering degree required.
  • 0-4 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Experience with Pipe-Flo or similar process engineering software for system sizing, pressure calculations, and flow analysis.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD required.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new products and processes for high purity gas and chemical systems.
  • Perform process simulation and studies including sizing and specification of process equipment.
  • Analyze flow and function requirements and engineer solutions to meet these requirements.
  • Drive product development activity for application in new markets where appropriate.
  • Participate with Engineering and product development teams to develop new products and improve current offerings
  • Create and support product P&IDs to drive standards and functional systems that are safe to operate and maintain
  • Participate in groups to review and implement new and emerging technology
  • Lead or participate in Process Safety reviews including PSM, HAZOP, and FMEA
  • Evaluate components for chemical compatibility
  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
  • Keep abreast of Semiconductor industry trends and technologies
  • Explore and recommend alternate processes and equipment to improve throughput, quality and employee safety.
  • Assist with proposal and quote development as needed by the sales and quoting team.
  • Adhere and execute to project budgets and schedules.
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
  • Work to improve product quality and manufacturability and assist in the continued improvement of quality measurement systems.
  • Assist the engineering department in the training of manufacturing staff in building new products and using new processes.
  • Manage design projects providing coordination between other design engineers, designers, and external design consultants and/or contractors.
  • Provide production support for the follow through on released designs.
  • Provide input and support for the construction of manufacturing equipment
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Limited travel to customer locations as needed.

Job description

Working under the direction of the Lead Engineer Mechanical in Nampa, ID, this position will play a key role in the development of new products for new and existing markets, as well as improvements to our existing product lines. The role provides detailed engineering, specification, and analysis to drive the design and construction of high-purity gas and ultrapure chemical systems, including supporting and generating P&IDs. Working closely with the engineering team, this position will research, specify, and select system components for new designs, while leading or participating in Process Safety reviews, including PSM, HAZOP, and FMEA.
