Where you will work

Onsite at Bartow. Our process engineers have the option to work a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

Position

Process Engineer-I, II, III, or Senior

What you’ll do
  • Process improvement projects for chemical processes in phosphoric acid and granulation. Responsibilities include process improvements and innovation, increasing production capabilities, safety and environmental stewardship, product quality improvements, and technical support for other departments/disciplines.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of computer-based production models for the mining and refinery processes. Use models to validate process improvements for project prioritization and support capital projects for scoping and upfront engineering requirements.
  • Assist with planning activities including process modeling, development of production targets and parameters, capital design support, and five-year planning. Identify longer term areas of improvement to fill through technology or innovation.
  • Ensure a high level of safety and environmental excellence in the operation of the assets. Participate in EHS requirements including safety audits, safety meetings, 5S, and Management of Change.
What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree required, major in Chemical Engineering.

Experience levels
  • Engineer I: 0-2 years of related experience (engineering, industrial project experience, or engineering project management).
  • Engineer II: 2+ years of related experience (engineering, industrial project experience, or engineering project management).
  • Engineer III: 4+ years of related experience (engineering, industrial project experience, or engineering project management).
  • Engineer Sr: 8+ years or more of related experience (engineering, industrial project experience, or engineering project management).
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) status with APEGS
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Collaborative and able to perform in a team environment.
  • Strong ability to set goals, priorities, and schedules to accomplish tasks.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
Physical demands
  • Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the job without posing a direct threat to the safety of self or others.
  • Able to lift approximately 0-25 lbs unassisted and occasionally
  • Able to climb stairs and work at various heights
