Job summary

Prysmian Group in Jackson, TN is seeking a Process Engineer to be hands-on on the production floor, partnering with operators and technicians to keep cable manufacturing moving on schedule. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
  • 0–3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.
  • Comfort working on the production floor with multiple departments.
  • Experience with fiber optics, wire & cable manufacturing, Excel, or Minitab is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate manufacturing trends and help solve production challenges.
  • Spend time on the production floor to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Support process improvements to boost efficiency, stability, and quality.
  • Work with production teams to optimize equipment performance.
  • Participate in new product trials and process enhancements.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, machine setups, and upgrades.
  • Analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams.
  • Help create training materials, SOPs, and technical documentation.
  • Contribute to Lean, 6S, and root-cause analysis initiatives.
