Team 360 Staffing is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join the manufacturing team of a growing company in the electrical infrastructure and distribution transformer industry. This is a confidential direct-hire, on-site opportunity focused on developing, controlling, and improving manufacturing processes for oil-immersed distribution transformers.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, with strong technical knowledge of transformer construction, insulation systems, and core manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Materials Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of process/manufacturing engineering experience with oil-immersed distribution transformers.
• Strong knowledge of transformer structures, insulation systems, coil winding, and core-and-coil assembly.
• Experience with process documentation, tooling/fixture design, and equipment validation.
• Proficient in CAD/engineering drawing software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain manufacturing process routes, specs, and work instructions for oil-immersed transformers.
• Conduct production-floor audits, troubleshoot issues, and support corrective actions.
• Design, validate, and improve tooling, fixtures, and line layout to boost capacity.
• Lead process validation for new products from first-article to mass production.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and transformer industry standards.

Team 360 Staffing is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join the manufacturing team of a growing company in the electrical infrastructure and distribution transformer industry.

This is a confidential direct-hire, on-site opportunity focused on developing, controlling, and improving manufacturing processes for oil-immersed distribution transformers.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong technical knowledge of transformer construction, insulation systems, and core manufacturing operations, comfortable working directly on the production floor.

About the Company

Our client designs and manufactures distribution transformers and transformer solutions for investor-owned utilities (IOUs), municipalities, cooperatives, distributors, and agents, with close ties to an international headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain manufacturing process routes, specifications, and work instructions for oil-immersed distribution transformers, including key parameters for coil winding, core-and-coil assembly, vacuum drying, and oil filling.
• Conduct production-floor audits, troubleshoot process issues, and support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Design, validate, and improve production tooling, fixtures, and line layout to boost capacity and efficiency.
• Lead process validation for new products, including first-article qualification, and drive continuous improvement to reduce defects.
• Support new product introduction, from prototype builds through process handoff to mass production.
• Ensure processes comply with applicable safety, environmental, and transformer industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Materials Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of process/manufacturing engineering experience with oil-immersed distribution transformers.
• Strong knowledge of transformer structures, insulation systems, coil winding, and core-and-coil assembly.
• Familiarity with IEEE, ANSI, UL, IEC, and Chinese GB transformer standards.
• Experience with process documentation, tooling/fixture design, and equipment validation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and proficiency in CAD/engineering drawing software and MS Office.
