Descrizione del lavoro

Are you a hands-on engineer who can spot an opportunity, build a practical solution, and see it through to sustained results? We’re looking for a Lean and Automation Engineer to improve manufacturing performance in a regulated Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) environment.

This role is for someone who does more than coordinate improvement efforts—you’ll personally assess processes, develop solutions, build and implement approved projects, train teams, and help sustain results.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct process and time studies, waste assessments, and bottleneck analyses to identify improvement and automation opportunities.
  • Build evidence-based proposals that outline the baseline, expected operational and financial benefits, implementation needs, costs, risks, timing, and sustainment plan.
  • Present opportunities to site leadership for prioritization and approval.
  • Lead approved projects from analysis and solution development through training, implementation, benefit realization, and sustainment.
  • Develop practical digital and analytics tools, such as Power BI dashboards, Power Automate workflows, and electronic data collection.
  • Improve OEE, cleaning and changeover times, labor productivity, throughput, and capacity across manufacturing and other site operations.
  • Partner with Finance to validate benefits and maintain consistent project-value reporting.
  • Establish process ownership, standard work, training, controls, documentation, and performance tracking.
  • Ensure work meets GMP, data-integrity, safety, quality, change-control, and validation requirements.

What you’ll bring

  • Master’s degree in industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 2–3 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, including at least 2 years supporting OSD or tableting/compression operations.
  • Demonstrated experience completing waste-reduction or automation projects as the primary executor, not just the coordinator.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, DMAIC, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, OEE improvement, statistical analysis, root-cause analysis, and process analysis.
  • The ability to identify improvement opportunities, develop business cases, quantify benefits, and create practical workflows, dashboards, or data tools.
  • Strong project ownership and the ability to work across Operations, Finance, Quality, Engineering, and IT/OT.

Preferred qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt; strong Green Belts with proven hands-on delivery are also encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, advanced Excel, SQL, SAP, MES/EBR, or manufacturing analytics platforms.
  • Experience using modern analytics or AI-enabled tools to improve operational reliability and performance.
  • A self-starter’s mindset, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to challenge existing processes and carry approved ideas through implementation and sustainment.

Candidates may be asked to review a scenario or visual example during the interview and explain what they observe, what they infer, and what solutions or opportunities they would explore.

Employment is subject to background, drug, and medical screenings, including vision and spirometry/respirator questionnaire requirements.
