Job summary

Duracell is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer (mid-level management) to support the Packaging Operation. You will identify losses, drive improvements, and develop procedures for equipment while coaching technicians on best practices.

You will work on the manufacturing floor with cross-functional teams, applying operational excellence methods to help build long-term capability and meet site performance targets across manufacturing sites.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
• 4–7 years of manufacturing and/or R&D experience (consumer products a plus).
• Flexible work schedule to accommodate 24-hour operations.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Leadership capabilities to coach others on Operational Excellence.
• Systems & Tools experience in data analytics and reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prioritize, analyze, and eliminate losses and inefficiencies.
• Develop procedures and technical documents for existing and new equipment.
• Collaborate with technical experts, other functions, and other sites to create best solutions.
• Create learning programs to coach and train technicians.
• Create and improve standards (Process Control Strategies and Centerline Packages) to meet site performance targets.
• Understand and work with robotics and automated equipment.
• Maintain high presence on the manufacturing floor.

We are looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer which is an mid- level management role to support the Packaging Operation.

Responsibilities

Manufacturing Process Engineers lead our efforts in identify and drive out loses through standard and system development. They support the daily activities of the production line and/or processing areas, and build long term capability into their areas, systems, and technicians.Daily Responsibilities can consist of the following:

• Identifying, prioritizing, analyzing, and eliminating losses and inefficiencies
• Effectively developing procedures and technical documents for existing and new equipment
• Collaborating with technical experts, other functions, and other manufacturing sites to create best solutions
• Creating learning programs to coach and train technicians
• Creating and improving standards (Process Control Strategies and Centerline Packages) to enable us to achieve the performance targets for the site
• Understanding and working with state-of-the-art robotics and automated equipment
• High presence on the manufacturing floor

Qualifications

• A BS in Engineering Discipline or Engineering Technology equivalent experience (Electrical or Mechanical preferred)
• 4-7 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or R&D environment (consumer products a plus)
• Ability to have a flexible work schedule when needed to accommodate our 24-hour operations
• Good communication skills -written and oral
• Strong leadership capabilities that will allow you to coach others on the use of Operational Excellence
• Systems & Tools experience in data analytics and reporting a plus
