Web Industries Inc is seeking a Process Engineer to lead projects in Dayville, CT, translating customer requirements into manufacturable designs and co-developing new capabilities with Process Engineering.

You will manage multiple projects, plan trials, collaborate with suppliers on materials, and create robust documentation to ensure smooth release to manufacturing and ongoing process optimization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/chemical/electrical engineering or similar technical degree, or 10 years in web-converting manufacturing.
  • Training or job-related experience in project management.
  • 5 years minimum web converting manufacturer.

Responsibilities

  • Meets with customers and internal staff to understand and document product requirements, features, benefits, and performance characteristics.
  • Plans, coordinates, and documents proof of concept, proof of principle, and validation and verification trials.
  • Works with suppliers to identify and specify appropriate materials.
  • Develops manufacturing methods and coordinates the design and validation and verification of new process equipment.
  • Creates product specifications, quality plans, test methods, work instructions, risk assessments, and other documentation.
  • Ensures the smooth release of new products to manufacturing once development is complete.
  • Optimizes and improves processes and systems once products have been released to manufacturing.
  • Develops cost models and budgets for trials, commercial production, and capital expenditures.
  • Manages complex projects with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, stay organized, meet cost and time budgets, and drive to completion.
  • Prepares reports, presentations, and spreadsheets.
  • Performs any other function or responsibility as assigned

Salary Range: $69,200.00 To $96,700.00 Annually

POSITION SUMMARY

To lead projects and project teams, translate customer requirements to manufacturable designs, co-develop new capabilities/processes with Process Engineering, lead Design & Development efforts and commercialize significant programs.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Additional REQUIRED Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, or similar technical degree or 10 years minimum web converting manufacturer in a technical role.
  • Training and/or job related experience in project management.
  • 5 years minimum web converting manufacturer.
